ABOUT
Welcome to Cavanaugh Crossing, an upscale community of 50 Coscan Washington built single family homes off of Route 123/Ox Road in Lorton, VA. These luxurious "Charleston" and "Georgian" style homes were built on .21 to .68 acre lots, with square footage running between 4,434 and 6,239. Many homes feature wide, sweeping verandas, porches and unique architectural details. Models built include the Taylor, Van Buren, Randolph, Stuart, and Wallace. The Taylor model won the 2001 Annual Builder Award of Excellence. All units were built during 2001 and 2002. Students will attend the following schools: William Halley Elementary, South County Middle, and South County High Schools.

The Lorton VRE station is located approximately 10 minutes away and features service out to Union Station, with stops in Alexandria, Crystal City and L'Enfant Plaza along the way. You can easily connect to MetroRail at several stops, including Franconia-Springfield.

The INOVA HealthPlex - Lorton provides access to a multitude of physicians with different specialties, a pharmacy, a dialysis center, a lab and a radiology department.

For golf enthusiasts, the Laurel Hill Golf Club is sure to please. This par 71, 18-hole course ranks number 15 on Golfweek's 2009 list of the nation's 50 best municipal courses; in addition to the course, it includes a 30 station practice range and a 9,400 square foot clubhouse with an expanded pro shop, changing areas and meeting/dining rooms.

The Lorton Workhouse Arts Center was a great addition to this section of Lorton; their mission is to "enrich the lives of all within reach by creating a vibrant cultural community that fosters a diverse offering of arts, education, social and entertainment experiences". The Center sponsors several concert series, theater camps, art exhibits and offers classes in a variety of subjects such as ceramics, glass, yoga, Pilates and martial arts; future plans include a state of the art performing arts complex, a studio theater and a history museum.

The Board of Supervisors voted on the PA SSPA 2024-III-1P on May 13, 2025 and approved the plan amendment to allow anywhere from 8-23 homes to be built next to our development. The next step is to wait for the proposed development plans from the builder and then we can send/ email our thoughts and recommendations about how it is being developed.
